Ms. Toni Charles: Guard Coordinator

Currently we will be marching sixteen members in the guard this year. With only five returning members this is a very new squad who has already worked hard and they are excited about joining the band real soon.
In June they had a week long clinic that started at 1:00 PM and went until 8:00 PM. Parents brought in dinner, snacks and drinks for the girls each day and they worked hard on new routines as well as rifles and dance moves.
This year we have brought in a new choreographer. Her name is Taylor and she has brought some new and innovative ideas to the squad. She is a graduate of Fairmont High School and was a member of the Sonic guard. She is currently a student at Sinclair but will transfer to Kent State next year. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at the changes she has made.
The girls will continue working all summer with evening practices during the month of July and will be ready for band camp in August
