Greetings from the Band Office!

It is my hope that this finds you in good health, and with power! It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the performance schedule! Although a lot has happened between preparation in July and today, Band camp does seem all that long ago.
I think we have looked better and played better each time we have performed. This month brings two competitions (Kettering on October 11, and Tecumseh on the 18th).. As we are now mid-way through the year, me need to make sure we do not become complacent in areas where we have been successful. Practices need to stay focused and always moving forward. Great performances come from great practices! I know it's difficult getting up for and playing your best for the staff, a large St. Bernard and a grove of trees (some might say it's hard to differentiate between them...) but we must! Friday night is not the time to decide to “turn it on.” Turn it on in practice, knowing that when you get a crowd in front of you, you are REALLY going to knock it out of the park.
Students - your BEST efforts are ALWAYS needed to ensure that the proud history and traditions of XHS and the Buccaneer Band are preserved and upheld.
